UCR Softball To Play 17 Games Against NCAA Tournament Teams In 2010

UC Riverside head softball coach Connie MIner announced today that the UCR softball team will play 17 games against NCAA tournament teams from a year ago, including three three-game series against Big West Conference foes Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, and Long Beach State. View complete schedule.

10th Annual UCR Softball Crab Feed: Saturday, Nov. 7 At 4:00 PM

The 10th Annual UC Riverside Softball Crab Feed is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Aberdeen-Inverness Cafeteria located at 100 Aberdeen Drive. Appetizers start at 4:00 pm with an all-you-can-eat Alaskan king crab and prime rib dinner being served at 5:00 pm. The cost is $55 per person and includes beverages. Softball Completes Coaching Staff With Addition Of Franny Morlet

UC Riverside Head Softball Coach Connie Miner announced today the hiring of Franny Morlet as an assistant coach completing the coaching staff for the 2010 season. Morlet joins the Highlanders following one year as a volunteer assistant at Long Beach State and a four-year playing career at The Beach.

UC Riverside Head Women's Softball Coach Connie Miner announced today the hiring of Candi Letts as the team's assistant coach. Letts joins the Highlanders staff following head coaching stints at Colorado State, Mississippi and most recently Utah State.

Highlanders Place 26 Athletes on Big West Spring All-Academic Team

Irvine, CA -The Big West Conference announced today the names of student-athletes who have earned Academic All-Big West Conference honors for the spring sports of baseball, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, men's and women's track and field, and women's water polo. UC Riverside placed 26 of its spring athletes on this list, totaling 45 athletes on the year. Complete release
