UCR Women's Soccer Drops 2-0 Decision To Cal Poly

UC Riverside traveled to San Luis Obispo Friday evening for its first road conference match of the season, but gave up two first half goals in falling to the Mustangs, 2-0. Jessica White (pictured) added eight saves to her league leading total.
Cal Poly scored the first goal of the match with 12 minutes gone as Juliane Grinstead's header off of a corner kick found its way into the Highlanders net.
With 3:12 remaining in the first Tiffany Gummow scored on a breakaway from 20 yards out into the upper righthand corner of the net for a 2-0 Cal Poly advantage.
Neither team could find the back of the net in the second half, and the Mustangs came away with the 2-0 win.
Next up for the Highlanders is a Sunday, October 11 match at UC Santa Barbara.
