Martinez Adances To Finals In NCAAs In The Indoor Mile

UCR's Brenda Martinez moved one step closer to a possible NCAA Championship Friday afternoon advancing to the Finals in the Mile at the 2009 Division I NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Her time of 4:42.52 was the eighth fastest of the day and less than four seconds off the quickest time of 4:39.22 recorded by Tennessee's Sarah Bowman. The Finals in the Mile are scheduled for 3 pm PT and will be broadcast on espn 360.
