Nkele Named "Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport of the Month"

Riverside, CA - Anheuser-Busch has teamed up with UC Riverside athletics and has chosen Women's Basketball senior forward Kemie Nkele as the February recipient of the "Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport of the Month." Click here to view all past honorees.

For the month of January, Nkele led the Highlanders to a 7-1 mark in Big West Conference play while averaging 17.4 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game, and playing an average of 35.3 minutes per game. The team went on a six-game winning streak and had a perfect 5-0 record at home.

Nkele scored a career-high 32 points on 10-of-19 shooting including 4-of-9 from three-point range and 8-of-12 from the free throw line at Cal State Northridge on January 14. For her efforts, she was named Big West Player of the Week on January 19.
