Eugene, Oregon - UC Riverside's Brenda Martinez (pictured) finished in ninth place in the finals of the 800m at the 2009 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championship Sunday afternoon with a time of 2:09.44 - five seconds off of her times from the first two rounds of competition.
Freshman Sean Ferrera, competing in the finals of the jr. 400m hurdles, finished in eighth place with a time of 53.33 - faster than his time in Saturday's semifinal heat, but slightly off his season best of 53.06 set at the Big West Conference Championship on May 15.
