Women's Cross Country Tops Nationally Ranked Stanford To Win Twilight Classic

The UC Riverside Women's Cross Country Team won the Nevada Twilight Classic for the second time in three years and topped nationally ranked Stanford in taking the title. Junior transfer Christy Adamyk (pictured) finished third overall for the women followed by Katy Daly (sixth), Ashleigh Pratt (seventh), Margaret Sitker (13th), Jenessia Navarro (14th), Natalie Aceves (15th), Brittany Reimer (16th) and Jackie Juarez (18th).
On the men's side, Brett Valencia, Daniel Lindstrom, Emmanuel Ngula, Talal Khan and Steven Crum finished 10th through 14th as the team finished second behind the Cardinal.
The Highlanders return to Mammoth Lakes this week to complete their preseason training before heading home for the UC Riverside Cross Country Invitational on September 19.
