Women's Tennis Wins Two Doubles And Four Singles Matches At CSF Tourn.

Day 1 Story
Fullerton, CA - The UC Riverside women's tennis team continued play at the Cal State Fullerton Tournament on Saturday with two doubles wins and four singles victories.
In the second round of consolation doubles, the duo of Natalie McKay and Angelique Corpuz (pictured) defeated Stocking and Sugiyama of Portland State 9-7. In the same round, sisters Jamie and Taylor Raney combined to defeat Cal State Fullerton's De La Cruz and Sandford 8-5.
In the first round of singles in the consolation bracket, Corpuz defeated Gabriela Horton of CSU Bakersfield 6-3, 3-0, ret. inj. In the second round, she defeated Katie Nichols of Fullerton 6-0, 6-0.
In the second round of consolation singles, Jamie Raney defeated CSUF's Monica Rodriguez 6-3, 2-6 (10-5), while McKay won her singles match 6-3, 6-2 over Fullerton's Karina Akhmedova.
The tournament concludes with consolation quarterfinal matches at 9:30 am on Sunday.
