
Coach Wooldridge Gets Dirty By Keeping Riverside Clean & Beautiful

Riverside, CA—UC Riverside Head Coach Jim Wooldridge and his wife Annie, Director of Basketball Operations John Smallwood and guard Jalonni Diggs took part in the Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful campaign on Saturday, May 15 from 9 - 11:30 am. The foursome spent the morning picking up around the 91 overpass at University and Mulberry, as well as by the Riverside Community Hospital and First Presbyterian Church on Magnolia and 14th.
Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful is affiliated with Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup campaign. The Great American Cleanup is the nation's largest community improvement program, and takes place annually from March 1 through May 31, involving an estimated 3 million volunteers and attendees. In 2009, hardworking volunteers donated more than 5.2 million hours to clean, beautify and improve more than 32,000 communities during more than 30,000 events in all 50 states and beyond.
Activities included beautifying parks and recreation areas, cleaning seashores and waterways, handling recycling collections, picking up litter, planting trees and flowers, and conducting educational programs and litter-free events.
KAB combines education with hands-on stewardship to make America's communities cleaner, greener, safer, and more livable. KAB programs activate millions of volunteers each year in hands-on community improvement activities, where they learn how to take personal responsibility for improving their local community environments.
