UCR Baseball Players In The Pros Updated: McConkey, Brantly Sign

The Highlanders In The Pros section of gohighlanders.com was recently updated as Robert Brantly and Brian McConkey added their names to the list of current professional baseball players with UCR blue and gold in their veins.
Brantly signed with the Detroit Tigers after being selected in the third round, number 100 overall, in the 2010 First year Player Draft in June of this year. He was assigned to the West Michigan Whitecaps of the Midwest League.
The Florida Marlins signed McConkey to a free agent contract last week, and assigned him to the Gulf Coast League Marlins.
