Kelly Simpson Named To Fresno State Classic All-Tournament Team (Push Play)

Fresno, CA - UC Riverside volleyball senior Kelly Simpson was named to the Fresno State Classic All-Tournament Team following her play to open the 2010 season. View the highlight video from the tournament.
The outside hitter from Modesto, CA led the team with 33 kills, 3.00 kills per set, 32 digs, and 2.91 digs per set while playing in all 11 sets for the Highlanders.
On Friday, Simpson recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs against the host Fresno State Bulldogs. She followed up that performance with a career-high 17 kills and tied her career-high with 12 digs against Santa Clara on Saturday.
Other players selected to the 2010 Fresno State Classic All-Tournament Team include Heather Meyers and Lauren Plum from Oregon, Kaleigh Dukert from Santa Clara, and Kelly Mason from Fresno State.
UCR returns to the court on Friday, Sept. 3 against San Jose State at 7:00 pm in San Jose, CA.
