UCR Cross Country Teams Fourth In Conference Coaches Preseason Polls

Irvine, CA - The Big West Conference released its men's and women's cross country preseason coaches polls on Wednesday afternoon, tabbing each of the UC Riverside cross country teams fourth in its respective polls.
On the men's side, the Highlanders totaled 40 points and were just two shy of UC Santa Barbara in third with 42 points.
Cal Poly was chosen unanimously as the favorite with all eight first-place votes. UC Davis was selected second with 52 points.
For the women, UC Santa Barbara won a tight poll with 78 points and six first place votes, outlasting UC Davis which collected the three final first place votes on its way to 72 points.
Cal Poly was third with 66 points follwed by UCR with 48 and Long Beach State with 46.
