UC Davis Goal In First Minute Sends Men's Soccer To 1-0 Defeat

Davis, CA—UC Davis forward Matt Weisenfarth knocked in a ricochet off of a UC Riverside defender with just 52 seconds gone in the match, and that goal held up as the Aggies ended the Highlanders unbeaten streak at five with a 1-0 victory. (Box Score)
The teams played evenly the rest of the way as they each took 11 shots with UC Davis owning a slight 5-4 advantage in shots on goal.
The loss drops UC Riverside's record to 6-3-1, 1-1-0 while the Aggies improve to 3-5-2 and 1-1-0 in conference.
The Highlanders remain on the road next week traveling to Cal Poly on Sunday, October 9 for a 1 pm meeting with the Mustangs.
