Deborah Musa Named Big West All-Conference Honorable Mention

Irvine, CA—The Big West Conference announced Tuesday afternoon that UC Riverside midfielder Deborah Musa was named All-Conference Honorable Mentiion for her play during the 2011 women's soccer season.
The La Verne, CA native helped lead a Highlanders resurgence that saw the team improve its win total from one to eight, and its goals scored from three to 21 over the previous season. Musa led the squad in assists while finishing third in goals scored and tied for second on the squad in points.
All of her assists were game-winners coming on an Aaren Casimiro goal against Mississippi State on August 26, on an Andrea Morales score in a 1-0 overtime win over Lamar, and on another Morales score in a 2-1 overtime win at Cal Poly.
