Vilaubi Tied For The Lead As Women's Golf Sits Second At Cal Poly Invitational

Arroyo Grande, CA - The UC Riverside Women's Golf Team fired a 304 first-round score Monday at the Lamkin Grip Cal Poly Invitational, and is currently in second place out of 17 teams with one round remaining.
Savannah Vilaubi shot a 71 Monday to tie for the individual lead with Sonoma State's Spencer Heller and Cal State Monterey Bay's Audra Kepler.
The Highlanders 304 score is just three shots back of the team leader, Northern Arizona (301), but just two shots ahead of third-place Cal State San Marcos (306). The next four teams are all within 10 strokes of UC Riverside.
After Vilaubi, Amelia Ek carded a 75 to tie for 10th place, while Hannah Lee shot 76 and is in 16th place. Brittani Ferraro and Tiffany Koyano both fired identical scores of 82 to tie for 50th.
The Cal Poly Invitational concludes with a shotgun start Tuesday morning at 9 am PT.
