Orozco Named Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport Of The Month

Riverside—Anheuser-Busch has teamed up with the UC Riverside Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and chosen pitcher Eddie Orozco as the April recipient of the "Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport of the Month." Orozco posted a 3-1 record for the month of March allowing just three earned runs in 30.0 innings for an ERA of 0.90. He struck out 33 batters and walked seven while holding the opposition to a .239 batting average for the month.
On Saturday, March 10, Orozco took a perfect game into the seventh inning against Sacramento State, eventually settling for a record-setting three-hit, 15 strikeout performance in a 1-0 shutout.
For that performance, the senior right-hander was named Big West Pitcher of the Week, College Baseball Insider West Region Pitcher of the Week, Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week and to the College Baseball Hall of Fame and Diamond Sports Nationall All-Star Lineup for that week.
