Gonzaga, Washington State Highlight 2012-13 Women's Basketball Schedule

Riverside—UC Riverside Head Women's Basketball Coach John Margaritis announced today the Highlanders 2012-13 schedule which features 15 games against schools that reached postseason play a year ago. Season tickets go on sale tonight, July 31, at midnight.
UCR plays six of its first eight games at home, welcoming 2012 NCAA Sweet 16 participant Gonzaga to the SRC Arena on Friday, November 9 at 7 pm.
The Highlanders then host 2012 WNIT participant Utah State on November 15 at 7 pm, 2012 NCAA First Round participant Princeton on November 23 at 7 pm, Washington State on November 28 at 7 pm, Northern Arizona on December 2 at 2 pm, and Idaho on December 7 at 7 pm.
UC Riverside packs its bags for a roadtrip at Louisiana (December 17, 5 pm) and 2012 NCAA Second Round participant Oklahoma (December 20, 5 pm) before hosting 2012 WNIT participant UNLV on December 29 at 5 pm in the team's final non-conference game.
Five of UCR's Big West opponents reached postseason play a year ago with UC Santa Barbara earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament, and UC Davis, Cal State Northridge, Pacific, and Cal Poly participating in the WNIT.
The Highlanders open league play at home against Cal State Northridge on January 3 at 7 pm before playing the Big West's newest member, Hawai'i, on January 5 at 5 pm.
UC Davis and Pacific travel to the SRC Arena on January 24 and 26 respectively, while the Central Coast teams of Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara head to Riverside on February 28 and March 2.
The Big West Conference Tournament begins with quarterfinal action on Wednesday, March 13, with the semifinals and championship game slated for the Honda Center in Anaheim March 15-16.
