Riverside—UC Riverside Men's Basketball athlete Austin Quick is in his junior season with the blue and gold, and we here at gohighlanders.com got to know him a little better this fall via our Highlander Highlights series.

Austin ...
... is a junior from Murrieta, CA
... majoring in sociology
... is allergic to oats
... loves Halloween
... is afraid of cruise ships
Austin believes the secret to a great life is health, happiness, and love for one another.
Austin's favorite quote is, "My confidence comes from my memory of success and my belief will always be stronger than your doubt."
During the Men's Basketball trip to Vancouver this summer, he discovered that one of his hidden talents is throwing an ax.
If Austin could witness any event, he would want to be there the day his parents met.
His motto is: "Stay focused, work hard, maintain discipline, build relationships, generate happiness, and leave a legacy."
In five years from now, Austin hopes to be coaching and/or teaching.
