Riverside—UC Riverside Women's Basketball athlete Jamila Williams is in her junior season with the blue and gold, and we here at gohighlanders.com got to know her a little better this fall via our Highlander Highlights series.

... is a junior from Illinois
   ... favorite NBA player is Lebron James
      ... majoring in philosophy/law and society
         ... attended four different high schools
            ... loves her unique hairstyle
               ... wants to learn how to dunk
Jamila's favorite quote is, "Be yourself, because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter."
Her biggest accomplishment so far has been acquiring Dean's List honors for three quarters and the Chancellor's List for one.
If Jamila could witness any event, she would want to witness the March on Washington and Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.
Her motto is: The only person that can stop you is you, so strive to beat yourself.
Five years from now, Jamila hopes to be in law school or playing overseas.
