Men's Golf Concludes Farms Collegiate Invite In 11th Place

Rancho Santa Fe, CA—The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team concluded the 2013 Farms Collegiate Invite Tuesday with an 11th place finish out of 12 teams, carding a three-round total of 957.
The Highlanders improved each round by one stroke, 320-319-318, but could not make up any ground in the standings.
Fellow Big West Conference school Pacific won the team title by three strokes over Saint Mary's, 872 to 875. Missouri came in third place with an 894 followed by San Diego (897) and UC Irvine (905).
Missouri's Emilio Cuartero earned individual medalist honors with a 215, winning by one stroke over a duo in second place.
BJ Doucett shot a 78 Tuesday to pace UCR, tying for 46th place with a 238 (80-80-78) three-round total. Christian Rajcic finished two strokes back of Doucett with a 240 (82-79-79) to tie for 52nd.
Jason Semthiti came in 55th place with scores of 75-79-88 (242) while David Gazzolo carded a 246 (83-82-81) to finish 60th, and Ryan Smith tied for 62nd with a 250 (89-81-80).
Playing as an individual, Bradley Fox tied for 39th place with scores of 80-79-75 (234).
Next up for the Highlanders is the North Ranch Collegiate on February 25-26 in Westlake Village, CA.
