Ek And Vilaubi Tied For 8th For Women's Golf At UC Irvine Invitational

Santa Ana, CA - Amelia Ek and Savannah Vilaubi are tied for eighth individually with a six-over-par 150 two-round score Monday for the UC Riverside Women's Golf Team at the UC Irvine Invitational presented by Kia.
Ek fired rounds of 73-77 while Vilaubi carded a 76-74. Both players are 11 strokes back of the leader, Gonzaga's Alice Kim, but only four shots behind second place, North Dakota State's Amy Anderson (146).
As a team, the Highlanders are in seventh place out of 12 squads with a 622 total, but only four strokes back of third place. Gonzaga leads the team field with a 593 two-round score.
Other scores for UC Riverside include identical 162 scores from Christy Fogerty (82-80) and Hannah Lee (81-84), and a 163 (84-79) from Brittani Ferraro.
The tournament concludes Tuesday morning with a final 18-hole round.
