Stockbridge, GA—The UC Riverside Women's Golf Team concluded the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon in 12th place out of 14 teams with a three-round score of 993 (335-331-327), just one stroke back of 11th-place Delaware.
"This was a good learning experience for the team," Head Coach Eric Riehle stated. "I guarantee we will be better from this week."
Kent State erased an eight-shot deficit to take home the team title with a 931 total, followed by Old Dominion with 942 and James Madison and Georgia State tying for third with identical 945's.
Savannah Vilaubi (80-81-78) and Amelia Ek (80-82-77) led the Highlanders individually as they both tied for 15th place with scores of 239.
Brittani Ferraro tied for 54th place carding a 252 (83-83-86) while Christy Fogerty finished 70th with a 267 (92-85-90) and Hannah Lee shot 93-91-86 (270) to place 72nd.
Old Dominion's Kimberly Bradbury won the 76-person field with a seven-over-par 223.
UC Riverside now returns to the Golden State to compete in the Fresno State Lexus Classic on April 14-15 in Fresno, CA.
