Travis Smith Named Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport Of The Month

Riverside—Anheuser-Busch has teamed up with the UC Riverside Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and chosen men's track and field thrower Travis Smith as the March recipient of the "Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport of the Month." Smith won three shot put events in February with distances of 18.23m (59’ 9.75”) at the Mountain T’s Invitational (recap), 18.87m (61’ 11.00”) at the Husky Classic (recap), and a program record 19.01m (62' 4.5") at the UW Invitational (recap).

Smith is representing the Highlanders at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
