Women's Golf In 7th At Big West Championships Following First Round

San Luis Obispo, CA - The UC Riverside Women's Golf Team fired a 325 score Sunday in the first round of the Big West Conference Championships at San Luis Obispo Country. UCR is currently in seventh place out of eight teams with two rounds remaining. Full Results
The Highlanders are one up on Hawai'i and only seven strokes back of fifth-place Cal State Northridge (318). No. 16 ranked UC Davis is the leader after the first round with a three-under 289. Long Beach State sits second at 297 followed by UC Irvine (311) and Cal State Fullerton (312).
Savannah Vilaubi is tied for 12th overall to pace UC Riverside, shooting a 77, while Brittani Ferraro is tied for 16th with a 79.
Amelia Ek shot 82 to tie for 31st with Christy Fogerty and Hannah Lee rounding out the squad with scores of 87 and 88 respectively.
UC Davis' Bev Vatananugulkit is the individual leader with a four-under-par 69.
The Big West Championship continues Monday morning at 9 am PT with the second round.
