
UCR Tied For 15th As 2nd Round Of Bill Cullum Inv. Suspended Due To Darkness

Simi Valley, CA - The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team is currently tied for 15th place out of 20 teams at the Bill Cullum Invitational, following one complete round and part of a second round; the field was unable to complete play on Monday due to darkness, and will resume action Tuesday morning. The Highlanders shot 292 in the first round which placed them 14th, but are three-over-par in the second round to move down one spot into a tie for 15th. UCR is tied with CSUN and Long Beach State, but are only one shot back of 14th place and half a dozen behind a tie for 10th.
No. 21 ranked USC leads the field at 19-under-par while No. 27 Arizona State is second at 14-under.
Individually for UC Riverside, David Gazzolo shot a five-under 67 in the first round, which tied him for third, but is currently tied for 15th at three-over-par in the second round. Sam Gillis shot 72 in the first round while Matt Lutz shot 76, Pachara Sakulyong 77, and Anthony Bonales 79.
Round two will resume play Tuesday morning, with a final round scheduled to begin immediately following.
