Women's Golf Sixth At Matador Invitational After Two Rounds

Simi Valley, CA - The UC Riverside Women's Golf Team opened the 2014 spring portion of its schedule Monday with 36 holes at the inaugural Matador Invitational, placing sixth out of eight teams with a 625 total score. Full Results.
The Highlanders improved by five shots between the first and second rounds, shooting 315-310. UCR is just three shots behind fifth-place Sacramento State (622), and within five strokes of third-place Cal Poly (617).
Host Cal State Northridge leads the field with a 14-over-par 590.
Savannah Vilaubi is the Highlanders top individual finisher, tying for 8th with scores of 76-76 (152), while Brittani Ferraro (75-80) and Haley Wian (80-75) both shot 155 scores to tie for 14th.
Hannah Lee is tied for 35th a 163 (84-79), while Paris Griffith rounds out the squad in 51st place with 86-93 (179).
There is a three-way tie for 1st place at even-par 144 between CSUN's Arinda Bhanaraksa, Clariss Guce, and USC's Victoria Morgan.
The final 18-hole round of the Matador Invitational is set to begin Tuesday morning.
