Riverside—UC Riverside Men's Tennis athlete Julian Ruffin is in his sophomore season with the blue and gold, and we here at gohighlanders.com got to know him a little better this spring via our Highlander Highlights series.

In five years from now Julian hopes to join the Air Force.
He believes the secret to a great life is hard work, being willing to go the extra mile to get things done, and making sacrifices to better your life.
His favorite quote is, "Success is never achieved without perseverance."
Julian's greatest achievement so far in life was being named Male Athlete of the Year at his high school.
If Julian could witness any event, he would have wanted to witness when his uncle, Joe Greene, won the bronze medal in the long jump at the 1992 Olympics.
