Softball One-Hit In 7-0 Loss To Long Beach State

Long Beach, CA - The UC Riverside Softball Team dropped the second game of its doubleheader to Long Beach State on Saturday afternoon, 7-0, in Big West Conference action. Box Score.
LBSU (28-9, 5-0) pitcher Amanda Hansen kept the Highlanders (19-19, 0-5) bats silent, giving up just one hit while walking one.
The 49ers did most of their damage in the third inning, plating five runs while batting around the order as UCR used all three of its pitchers during that inning. Long Beach tacked on another two runs in the fifth, pushing its advantage to 7-0.
On the day, LBSU recorded nine hits and left 11 runners on base. The Highlanders left four stranded, but only got one runner as far as third on one occasion.
These teams conclude their three-game Big West series Sunday at 1 pm PT in Long Beach.
