Irvine, CA—The Big West announced today that UC Riverside's Blanca Barrio is the conference's Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches played from October 12-18.

The junior scored both goals Friday in the Highlanders 2-1 road victory over Long Beach State. The 49ers were undefeated and unscored upon in Big West play prior to that match.

Barrio now leads the team in points with 15 (5 goals, 6 assists) and is fifth in the Big West. She also ranks third on UC Riverside's career assist chart with 12.

UC Riverside is on the road this week as the Highlanders travel to UC Santa Barbara Friday, October 23 for a 7 pm PT kick off against UC Santa Barbara and a Sunday, October 25 meeting with Cal Poly at 1 pm.
