Irvine, CA—The Big West named UC Riverside's Taylor Johns and Jaylen Bland to the All-Conference First Team and Second Team respectively Monday afternoon, and named Bland the Big West Newcomer of the Year.

Johns finished third in the league in scoring, second in rebounding and first in blocked shots, as the Highlanders finished the season with the second most wins and second most conference wins in the Division I history of the program.

Bland finished seventh in the Big West in scoring, first in made three-pointers, fourth in steals and first in minutes per game. He is also six three-pointers shy of tying the program record of 100 set by Maurice Pullum in the 1988-89 campaign,

UC Riverside is the six seed in the Big West Conference Tournament, and will take on three seed UC Irvine at Honda Center on Thursday, March 12 at 6 pm PT.
