Riverside--The UC Riverside Women's Soccer Team welcomed Arizona to the Inland Empire Friday evening, and gave the Wildcats all they could handle, but Gabby Stoyan netted the Golden Goal in the first overtime period to give Arizona a 2-1 victory (watch video recap).
 
The Wildcats (6-1-1) controlled play in the first period, breaking out on top with less than three minutes remaining before intermission as Stoyan found Hayley Estopare for her third goal of the season.
 
The second half was a different story,  however, as the Highlanders (4-5-0) not only turned up the pressure on offense, but put up an impenetrable wall on the defensive side.
 
That hard work paid off in the 60^th minute when Tyler Cunningham drove the left side and found Blanca Barrio in the center of the box, tying the score at one apiece.
 
That score held up through regulation, and with less than four minutes gone in the first overtime, the Wildcats threw the ball in from just in front of their bench.
 
The ball bounced out to Stoyan, who settled it, and powered it past the UCR defense for the game winner.
