Undefeated Streak Continues As Men's Soccer Tops Sacramento State, 2-0

Sacramento, CA—The UC Riverside Men's Soccer Team remains undefeated in Big West play Saturday, following a 2-0 road win over Sacramento State.
The victory improved the Highlanders conference record to 3-0-1—just one win away from tying the program record for Big West victories in a season. UC Riverside (8-4-1) is also two wins away from tying the team record for overall victories in a season.
Tyler Miguel (Fair Oaks, CA) put UCR on top Saturday with his second goal of the season in the 44th minute of play. Raul Guerrero (Buellton, CA) found Miguel in the Hornets defensive 18, and Miguel's header found its way past Sac State goalkeeper James Del Curto.
It remained a 1-0 match until the 65th minute when Eduardo Sanchez (Bloomington, CA) connected with Emilio Huerta (Gilroy, CA) for Huerta's first goal as a member of the Highlanders.
UC Riverside returns home this week for a Wednesday, October 12 meeting with UC Irvine. Kick off is slated for 7 pm PT.
