Irvine, CA—The Big West announced today that UC Riverside guard Brittany Crain is the conference player of the week for games played from February 8-14. It is the fourth honor this season for the Moreno Valley, California native, and the ninth in her career.

Crain helped the Highlanders (17-7,10-0) remain perfect in conference play with road wins at Cal State Fullerton and Cal Poly. In the 47-point win over the Titans, the senior scored a career-high 39 points on 15 of 26 shooting from the field, including 7 of 10 from three-point range. She also grabbed six rebounds and handed out 4 assists.
In UC Riverside's 75-62 win against the Mustangs, Crain poured in 26 points on eight of 17 shooting, while grabbing eight boards and dishing out a pair of assists.
Crain leads the Big West in scoring (21.0 ppg), made field goals (181), made three-pointers (58) and minutes per game (37.8). She also ranks fourth in the conference in three-point field goal percentage (.379), third in free throw percentage (.832) and ninth in steals (35).
In Big West play, she is averaging 25.8 points per game while making 48.7 percent of her shots from the field, and 40.0 percent from long distance.
