Riverside—The UC Riverside Volleyball Team (9-9, 1-5) dropped a four-set decision to UC Davis Friday evening. Fabiana Rosas led the Highlanders with 13 kills.

SET ONE (25-15, UCD)
Key Runs: With the Highlanders leading 9-8, UC Davis scored five straight points to take control of the set. The Aggies closed it out by scoring eight of the last 10 points

SET TWO (28-26, UCR)
Key Runs: Trailing 7-3, UC Riverside scored six straight to take their first lead of the set. Neither team would lead by more than two the rest of the way, but the Highlanders withstood an Aggies set point at 25-24, scoring the final three points of the set to even the match.

SET THREE (27-25, UCD)
Key Runs: There were 11 ties in the third, as the Highlanders found themselves with set point at 24-23. The Aggies scored the final three points for the win.

SET FOUR (25-22, UCD)
Key Runs: UC Riverside led 8-6, but the Aggies scored the next five points to take a three-point lead. The Highlanders tied the score on two more occasions, but UC Davis eked out the three point victory to take the set and the match.

GAME NOTES
Despite the loss, the Highlanders are still off to their second best start in the program's Division I history. The 2005 tam began the year with 13 wins in its first 18 matches.

Chelsea Doyle recorded 40 assists, increasing her career total to 2,506 for her career. That is 57 behind Laura Ratto ('01) in fifth place on the Highlanders' career assist chart.

Fabiana Rosas recorded double-digit kills for the fifth time this season. She added 12 digs for her fourth kills-digs, double-double of the year.
