Riverside—The UC Riverside Women's Soccer Team (7-10-2, 4-3-0) moved one step closer to clinching a postseason berth, Thursday evening, with a 3-0 victory over visiting UC Davis (4-11-2, 3-2-2).
GAME NOTES
The Highlanders leapfrogged the Aggies in the Big West standings, and are now in fourth place in conference, one point behind Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine, and two points behind CSUN. UC Riverside can still finish as high as second. The top four teams make the conference tournament, which is being held this year in Northridge on Thursday, November 2 (semifinals) and Sunday, November 5 (championship).

The Highlanders conclude their regular season vs. Hawai'i on Sunday, October 29. There are a handful of scenarios that would clinch a playoff berth for UC Riverside—If the Highlanders win, they are in. If UC Davis' losses the Highlanders are in. If UC Davis and UC Riverside both tie, the Highlanders are in.
UC Riverside scored three goals Thursday evening after netting two in the team's previous five matches.
Madison Lindsay, Giselle Preciado and Miah Conde each picked up their first scores of the season in the victory.
Alanna Guzman was credited with her second shutout of the season.
