The Highlanders were in fifth place entering the week, and needed a pair of wins to ensure a spot in the Big West Conference Tournament. Guzman posted back-to-back clean sheets—3-0 against UC Davis, and 4-0 against Hawai'i—in earning her second career Big West Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award. They were her second and third shutouts of the season, and helped UC Riverside to the number three seed in the conference tournament.
Lindsay also lent a hand in the Highlanders' victories, netting her first two career goals on the week—one against the Aggies, and the other against the Rainbow Wahine. She earned her first Big West Offensive Player of the Week award for her efforts.
The Highlanders take on CSUN on Thursday, November 2 in the semifinals of the Big West Conference Tournament. Kick off in Northridge is slated for 7:30 pm PT.
