Irvine, CA—The Big West announced today that UC Riverside guard Dikymbe Martin is the Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from December 18-24.

The sophomore netted a career-high 30 points in the Highlanders' win over Valparaiso on December 20. Martin made 7 of 12 shots from the field, and 14 of 16 from the free throw line in the win. He added six rebounds, four assists and four steals.

For the week, in which UC Riverside also upended UC Merced, 91-46, Martin averaged 19.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while making 56.3 percent of his field goals, 50.0 percent of his three-pointers and 90.0 percent from the charity stripe.
