Arman Irani Leads Highlanders To 11th-Place Finish At UCR Invitational

Riverside, CA—The UC Riverside Men's Cross Country Team finished in 11th-place at the 37th Annual UC Riverside Cross Country Invitational. Redshirt sophomore Arman Irani finished in 20th-place with a time of 24:51.3. The Highlanders finished with a team score of 264.
"I felt like our guys competed really well today. We're really young, and so this is a big time learning experience for them," Head Coach Robert Hanson said. "I felt Arman did a great job at our group battling at the front of our group. This is a great dress rehearsal for us heading into the rest of the season."

Irani finished in the top-20 for the fourth time in his career, moving up 72 spots from his finish in the 2016 UCR Invitational.
