Women's Golf Finishes Las Vegas Showdown In 4th Place Out Of 18, Ferraro & Vilaubi In Top-10

Las Vegas, NV—The UC Riverside Women's Golf Team concluded action at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown Tuesday in fourth place out of 18 teams with a three-round score of 875. Complete Results / Day 1 Story / Day 2 Story
The Highlanders were in second place heading into the final round of play, but shot 293 in the third round to move down two spots. San Diego State and Minnesota tied for the team lead with identical 863 scores, while UNLV finished third with an 868.
UCR, ranked 85th in the nation heading into the tournament, beat out nine teams ranked higher than them with their fourth-place finish.
Individually for the blue and gold, Brittani Ferraro tied for fourth with a three-under 213 (70-69-74), just one stroke back of third-place and three behind second. UNLV's Dana Finkelstein won the individual crown firing a nine-under-par 207.
Savannah Viluabi was the second UC Riverside player to finish in the top-10, carding scores of 67-74-74 (215) to place seventh, while Haley Wian lowered her scores each day shooting 76-75-71 for a 222 total to tie for 30th.
Hannah Facchini tied for 72nd with a 230 (79-77-74) while Julia Sander tied for 82nd at 233 (74-81-78).
The Highlanders now host Bakersfield in a dual match on Sunday, November 9 at Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside.
