UCR Saves Best Round For Last Moving Up One Spot At Anuenue Spring Break Classic

Maui, Hawai'i - The UC Riverside Women's Golf Team utilized four scores in the 70's on Wednesday to move up one spot to conclude the Anuenue Spring Break Classic, shooting 933 to place 13th place out of 15 squads.
Heading into the final day, the Highlanders were in 14th place, but saved their best round for last improving by 15 strokes: 316 in both the first and second rounds, but 301 in the third round.
Brittani Ferraro (80-81-72) and Isabelle Shee (77-80-76)Â tied for 48th overall to lead UCR with identical 233 totals.
Savannah Vilaubi was just two strokes back at 235 (81-76-78) to place 60th, while Yuri Ahn tied for 65th with a 238 (78-85-75). Haley Wian rounded out the team in 85th with 87-79-81 (247).
Pepperdine claimed team tournament honors with an 870 score followed by Washington in second at 879.
Pepperdine's Grace Na took home the individual crown, winning by eight strokes with an 11-under-par 205.
UC Riverside has just one tournament remaining before the Big West Championships, traveling to Yorba Linda, CA for the Gold Rush on April 7-8.
