Men's Golf Remains In Fifth To Conclude OGIO UC Santa Barbara Intercollegiate

Santa Barbara, CA - The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team remained in fifth place out of 10 teams to conclude the OGIO UC Santa Barbara Intercollegiate Tuesday with a three-round score of 882 (291-293-298). The Highlanders were only six shots away from fourth-place, and 13 behind the leaders, Long Beach State, at 869.
Brandon Tsujimoto came through as UCR's top finisher, tying for seventh place with scores of 74-72-71 (217). David Gazzolo was two shots back at 219 (73-69-77) to tie for 15th place while Sam Gillis tied for 17th with 70-73-77 (220).
Pachara Sakulyong shot 74-79-73 (226) to tie for 34th while Leven Simon Seay carded a 237 (78-80-79) to tie for 54th.
Playing as an individual, Ryan Smith tied for 60th with a 241 (78-83-80).
Sacramento State's Owen Taylor won the overall title with a four-under 212 total.
The Highlanders now prepare fo the Big West Conference Championship slated for April 27-29 in San Jacinto, CA.
